The foundation under this initiative (CHI) works to enhance on the social life of children with emphasis on orphans and other vulnerable children (OVC) who are identified by this foundation and categorized by the following criteria who are thus based on the criterion concluded as orphans and other vulnerable children. (1) Orphaned by physical or any forces of nature and HIV/AIDS. (2) Vulnerable by poverty. (3) Disability in general. (4) Total orphans. And (5) Vulnerable by diseases and HIV/AIDS. Through this programme initiative, this foundation is aimed at not only giving support to vulnerable children in need but also to give children hope, joy, and happiness as global citizens and this is achieved fundraising, partnering with likeminded donor organizations and individuals in providing scholastic materials, school fees and other necessary incentives for the well-being of the vulnerable children and further provide provisional life skills to those children dull in class but can to best with hands on skills for self reliance, sustainability and support basically children 10-18 years. In accord to the Ugandan law, the under 18 are defined as children. Our mission under this initiative is to support children education with emphasis on OVCs, facilitate self-income generating and life skills training that can economically empower OVCs to be self supported.

Our request goes to the entire word for support to enhance on the livelihood of the vulnerable children in general. we also highly welcom humanterian aid in form of shoes, clothes, bedsheets, mosquito nets, e.t.c and nutrition support to improve the health of the children.

HELP CHILDREN GO TO SCHOOL

Elia foundation for community development through our programme initiative CHILDREN HOPE INITIATIVE, we are here to fundraise in for support of providing scholastic materials to the orphans and other vulnerable children (OVC). In our data base with have so far 215 school going OVCs. Our programme initiative works together with the parents, guardians, and caretakers of the OVCs hence we reach them in their homes. Children range from Nursery to primary 7 (P.7) in different schools. The items we are looking are; pens, books, pencils, sets, shoes, school bags, uniform and school fees
